The plek Open String Box uses a stroboscope-effect to make the vibration of a string visible, in slow motion.

This strobe was originally designed by Gerd Anke to investigate the optimal playability on a guitar. To understand how a real string moves was one of the main keys leading to the plek concept of the ideal fingerboard relief, dependent on the instrumetns, the strings and the players spec's.
