Legendary guitarist Uli Jon Roth (Scorpions), who is internationally considered to be one of the most innovative guitar players, has discovered the magic of plek. He recently decided to have his Höfner 12-string guitar plek'd and was so excited about the result that he entrusted the company to also treat one of his main Sky Guitars.

It's simply amazing how much better my guitars play now! Normally I don't really care about playability that much, and I do prefer a high action, but having the Sky Guitar plek'd was a great decision. There is a genuine and considerable improvement in the overall precision. Everything is optimized to perfection, and the great thing is that the guys from plek can take into account personal preferences, according to each individual players' taste. This is something that would have been completely impossible manually. I'm going to have all my Sky Guitars plek'd now.

The guitar in question is his famous "Mighty Wing" Sky Guitar - a seven-string, which Uli Jon Roth designed himself in the early Eighties. The "Sky" was the first electric guitar with many extra frets and seven strings. It has an unprecedented range of 6 octaves.
